Double delight for Lib Dems

The local Lyneham win for the Lib Dems came hard on the heels of the Party's surprise triumph in the Parliamentary by-election of Dunfermline & Fife West! Local Lib Dem Willie Rennie beat Labour by 2000 votes in a previously safe seat and now has Gordon Brown as one of his local constituents as the Chancellor lives in the area!

Just like in Lyneham the Conservatives saw their share of the vote drop from the previous election.
