Dr Brian Mathew, our prospective Lib Dem MP for North Wiltshire is a worker and a winner!

About Brian
Dr Brian Mathew has had his home in Yatton Keynell since 1999, where he plays a full part in village life.
Brian has just been elected to represent Box and Colerne on Wiltshire Council gaining it from the Conservatives in the recent elections.
This was one of several Lib Dem gains in the North Wiltshire Parliamentary Constituency where the Lib Dems achieved their highest vote share in a over 20 years.
Dr Brian Mathew has worked tirelessly and in a voluntary capacity for the last four years helping local people, businesses and communities when they faced difficulties and challenges.
Brian is a passionate environmentalist, enthusiastic ‎cyclist and award winning, target shooting marksman. He is also transcribing his grandfather's World War One fighter pilot diaries that also record his experiences as a German prisoner of war.
The Early Years
Brian went to school and was brought up in the West Country. He studied Agriculture at the University of Reading. His Masters degree comes for the University of East Anglia. His doctorate was awarded by Cranfield University.
Brian is a qualified agricultural engineer who specialises in water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH) work. This work has taken him to some of remotest and sometimes most dangerous places in Africa such as Dafur and Somalia. During this time he was shot at in Dafur and received death threats in Zimbabwe.
A keen cyclist and environmentalist, Brian has put his knowledge of water and renewable energy to good effect. He is a consultant to the "Reef" project. A concept developed by‎ marine engineering specialst
